Good grief, here it is 3 hours and 48 minutes pasted bedtime and V is still in there screaming. This has been going on and on lately. I don’t get it. I was just sitting in her room for the last half hour and I thought she was asleep. The second I was out of the door she was screaming again.
I really would love for her to just go to sleep, she’s knocking on the door now. Still calling me. I just don’t know what to do.
My test was on the 18th and I still hadn’t heard anything by Friday so I went ahead and called the office. They did get the results back but my doctor had already started her vacation (so thats why I didn’t get a call). The nurse was able to tell me that everything looked really good, my total cholesterol was 170, which she said was really great, and only my bad cholesterol was alittle elevated at 109 (they like to see it around 100… lay off the saturated fats Crissa!). She said that both my liver and kidney function were great, but didn’t make any mention about my sugar. I suppose I’ll get another call after my doctor gets back Thursday to find out if she wants me to take meds or not.
I kind of hope she puts me on something atleast for the hair and acne thats caused by the higher testosterone levels. Thats my little update about me though.
Sorry for not updating. I’ve been kind of in la la land. I have been working on a few projects here and there, and playing with the girls. So things like the internet kind of get left by the wayside.
We’re all doing pretty well. Just had a really lazy week and weekend. We plan to camp this coming Wednesday to Sunday. I’m really looking forward to not being in this darned apartment for a few days. We’re going with Mike’s parents so I’m sure the girls will love getting to spend a good amount of time with their grandma.
I have to admit that I’ve been a bit down this past week, because of us not going to Michigan until later in the year. I was really looking forward to seeing my family, and hopefully getting to see my nephew. Oh well, I’m sure I will someday until then I’ll just have to wait for pictures when they are posted. And talk to them on the phone as much as I can.
I’ve been working on a few little projects. I have been wanting to make the girls some wall hangings of their initials for a while, and finally did them. They turned out super cute if I say so myself.
I now want to do some for Mike and I, probably a little M & C with a bigger S between or something, to hang on the wall in our room. Maybe match it to our decore (LOL or not). I also was approached with a new opportunity thru the creative team I am on. Once a month I get to head a really cool new challenge. So yesterday I got it together, I just need to get the tutorial typed up today and have it sitting ready to be published on Wednesday.
Life in general is going pretty well.

Such sad news, George Carlin passed away last night at the age of 71. He was one of Mike and I’s favorite comedians. Atleast twice a month we’d watch one of our dvd’s of his. It may be silly but I’m really sad we didnt ever get to see him perform in person. I love that even while being an abrasive comedian (for some), he was able to bring to life a bunch of wonderful childrens characters. He was a hilarious actor as well. He narrated Thomas the Tank for a very long time. He will be very missed.
I dropped off the waterproof one time use camera that I had used for one of our trips to H2Oasis but not a single one of the photos turned out. I guess you have to get one with a flash for in there. Poop!
I got to go in and have that blood work done today. I was honestly suprised that I wasnt hungry. I stopped eating at 9pm last night. Got to the doctors this morning at 8:45ish and was still not hungry. I then got to play pin cushion… actually the Phleb that my doctor’s office uses is amazing. One stick thats all it took. She had 4 vials of blood in less than 2 mins, I swear!
She gave me the sucrose (I think thats what it is) soda stuff. It wasn’t all that bad, like an orange soda. A bit sweet but otherwise fine. Honestly, having to fast while pregnant was way worse! I had about a 10 minute high from the amount of sugar then was pretty much fine. I got to start reading a new book I’ve had sitting around for oh… 2 years. And I even played with my Nintendo DS Lite alittle bit. Just had to waste the 2 hours away basically.
At 11:34am the Phleb was back and she tried to look on my right arm (since earlier she had stuck my left) and there was nothing except in my hand, which she wouldnt do with out a numbing med so that was out since she didnt have any. And so she had to stick me in my left arm again, just a bit lower than where she had stuck me earlier.
All in all it wasnt to bad. I expect that the results should be back in 2 to 4 days. Which means I’ll probably get to wait until next week.
I really wonder if its normal not to get hungry when fasting…. I know its not like I fasted for several days it was just around 12 hours then the 2 that I had to wait before leaving their office.
She seems much better this morning. Alittle warm but atleast now she’s smiling. I kind of wish I hadn’t taken her into the doctor office. But Mike had wanted me to call and see what they said and they decided they wanted to see her to rule out a UTI. Oh well, she’s better and that’s all that matters. I did have to force water into her. I had to use a syringe and do one teaspoon every 10 mins. And I let her have two popsicles and I think it really helped make a difference. She actually woke up with a wet diaper this morning. Yesterday she woke up completely dry.
I just hope that no one else here catches whatever it was that she had.
Yesterday morning V woke up fine, had two bites of breakfast and proceeded to throw up. Thats pretty much how the rest of my day went. She’s had a fever ever since pretty much. I didn’t get to go in for my blood test. I’m hoping to on Wednesday, we’ll see. All depends on how V is feeling.
M: “Candy makes my brain all better mommy.”
(In response to my asking what would make her head feel better.)
Thats how I feel right now. I have PCOS. I get to go in Monday for a lovely 2 hour Diabetes test, the other blood tests they’ll do as well are to check my cholesterol that I will now have to have checked every couple years. Theres a couple others but I can’t think of them at the moment.
I get to look forward to taking meds for quite a while. They are going to put me on Metformin and it should help correct things. But we have to wait until the blood test results get back. My doctor may also put me on something to help clear up my acne and excess hair. I will be so very happy to have alot of this cleared up. Its very frustrating.
